Even though I’d talked to Emma quite a bit over Facebook Messenger and email, I was super nervous for my podcast interview, which was really quite stupid. Talk about imposter syndrome rearing its head for absolutely no reason! I knew that Emma wanted to talk about routines on the podcast and I’d pretty much convinced myself that my routines weren’t going to be good enough! When I look back on it now, I laugh. I knew I was working myself up for nothing. This was interesting though, because I usually don’t get nervous about public speaking. I think it was the fact that I was being recorded that got to me. The thought that my thoughts would be on record forever haha!
Now that the interview on A Day in Progress is live, I’ve had a chance to listen to it and I have to say, I am absolutely stoked with the result. Thanks, Emma! It was such a great opportunity for me to talk about my introversion and the way I manage my energy as an introvert. I also came out publicly as a procrastinator and as a Type B person who sincerely wishes they had Type A genes!
